Announcement [ Nomura Center News No.88 ] |

We have been sending our English newsletter, Nomura Center News, out to the Representatives of the United Nations, UNESCO, and Ambassadors to Japan as well as our International Network. However, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the international mail has been confined/delayed and we have decided to switch our paper-based English newsletter to digital format to put it on our website from the No.85 issue published in July, 2020. Here in Japan, the number of newly infected people have rapidly decreased since November, the new variant strain Omicron has been confirmed all over the world and the further countermeasures are taken in respective regions. There are many countries where enough vaccination has not yet reached, and many cases of the breakthrough infection also reported. We are reminded that the end of COVID-19 pandemic is unknown. We are now challenged to examine how we lived our life so far and how we should create the society and the world after COVID-19. In the end, we sincerely wish that as many readers as possible will find time to read our English newsletter and would like to receive any comment and impression.
